PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provide service and technical assistance to customers to ensure quick and effective repair, maintenance and operation of their equipment while developing a positive relationship with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are normal for this position. This is not an exclusive list. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, this person will:

  • Develop and maintain outstanding technical expertise in the service, repair, maintenance and operation of volumetric mixers and their relevant systems.
  • Travel to customer sites and Volumech workshops as needed to perform service work on customer equipment.
  • Fill out accurate daily forms including service reports and timesheets.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of failures in the field to help improve the overall quality of the equipment.
  • Assist in the day to day duties of working to solve customer problems and answer their questions.
  • Provide outstanding telephone and face to face customer service.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all tools and parts inventory on the service van.
  • Be flexible to the wide variety of demands experienced in the day to day role of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • City & Guilds Part 2 & Part 3 in an Engineering Discipline.
  • NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering Discipline
  • HGV 2 Class 2 License

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Previous experience as a plant fitter or mobile engineer working with heavy equipment such as CAT, JCB, John Deere or Komatsu
  • Strong electrical fault finding
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and welding

POSITION LOCATION: Birmingham/Wolverhampton
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 75-100%
REPORTS TO: Technical Services Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provide Technical & Quality Control assistance to customers, both in the field and within a laboratory, while developing a positive relationship with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are normal for this position. This is not an exclusive list. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, this person will:

  • Develop and maintain outstanding technical expertise in various methods of producing concrete, concrete materials and quality control and assurance in the industry.
  • Develop and maintain a particular expertise in concrete production and quality as it relates to volumetric concrete mixers.
  • Setup and calibrate volumetric mixers.
  • Travel to customer sites and Volumech depots as needed to perform concrete sampling, concrete & aggregate testing along with calibrating volumetric mixers.
  • Assist customers with quality control compliance.
  • Fill out accurate daily forms including inspection reports, sampling reports, calibration reports, diary, work reports and time sheets.
  • Assist with concrete quality complaints from Volumech customers.
  • Assist in the day-to-day duties of working to solve customer problems and answer their questions.
  • Assist in the design of new concrete mixes and special concrete products.
  • Assist with the design and testing of concrete masonry blocks.
  • Provide outstanding telephone and face to face customer service.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance, including keeping the service van, tools and uniforms clean and organized.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Assist part sales, customer accounts, warehouse inventory and shipping to increase parts revenue and deliver a better customer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

More specifically, this person will:

  • Support customer accounts to ensure they receive requested information quickly.
  • Develop a relationship over the phone with customer accounts at multiple levels.
  • Work to develop a pro-active sales approach to improve our customer’s ability to have the parts when they need them including placing outbound calls to customer accounts.
  • Help manage returned materials and tracking parts warranty claims to help minimize company expense.
  • Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
  • Pick – Pack – Ship duties to ensure the timely shipments of parts to the customer.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Perform any and all maintenance, repair, new build or refurbishment work on all makes and models of volumetric mixers as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are normal for this position. This is not an exclusive list. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, this person will:

  • Perform service and maintenance work on all makes and models of volumetric concrete mixers.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in the service, repair, maintenance and operation of volumetric mixers and their relevant systems.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites as needed to perform service work on customer equipment.
  • Occasional out of hours work as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of failures to help improve the overall quality of the equipment.
  • Assist in the day-to-day duties of working to solve customer problems and answer their questions.
